Rincòn has become a destination within a destination on the island attracting visitors from all over the world of all ages, particularly those that love adventure under the sun.
The winter months starting on November and ending on mid April are the main surfing months in Puerto Rico. You'll be amazed with the huge waves that will keep an experienced surfer challenged throughout the day. In the summer months when the waters are more calm, you can still enjoy an occasional good wave.
There are plenty of beaches to explore during your vacation and Rincòn was blessed with surfing beaches for every level from beginner to experienced. If you are entertaining the idea of a more adventurous vacation on a tropical paradise, then come to Puerto Rico.
The most popular surfing beaches offering the biggest waves are Tres Palmas, Marias and Domes.
Dogman's BeachThis beach is one of the locals favorite beaches and recommended for advanced surfers. This surfing beach is shallow but offers good waves. Watch for Toilet Bowl at Dogman's, it will surprise you and pull you down like a "toilet bowl".
Playa DomesThis beach is one of the most popular in Rincon for surfing offering the most consistent breaks in the area. This surfing beach is good for beginners but it gets crowded. The waves are mostly rights, with some occasional lefts and some possible strong undercurrents, so be careful if you are a beginner.
Sandy BeachA good name for this beach since the bottom is very sandy and it is a great surfing beach for beginners.
Tres PalmasThis surfing beach is for experienced surfers only seeking for a challenge and it is considered the best surfing beach in the Caribbean. Waves can get as tall as 25 ft. and beyond break of 3/4 mile out during the winter months a few times a year.
Maria's BeachOne of the most popular surf spots in Rincon which tends to get crowded. This beach is not for beginners, experienced surfers only should ride the waves at Maria's. The beach is rocky and the waves are closer to shore. Waves can run all the way to Dogman's when it gets fierce. At Maria's beach there is a shipwreck, the pistons are prominent. A surf guide is recommended if you don't know the beach since you can get caught up in them.

Playa CòrcegaMost of the year there is not much wave action here, the waves are calm and still remains crowd free. To get here, get on Rte. 429 to Km 1 area, then go west, find a place to park. Walk between the buildings, find a nice place on the sand, put on sunblock and enjoy.
